Wahnsinn Wagens builds the Wahnsinn EVO, our rewrite of the 190E EVO II. A numbered edition of twenty-five cars, engineered as one system and finished to be driven. When the twenty-fifth is delivered, the edition closes, and we never build another.

The Wahnsinn EVO

Our rewrite of the 190E EVO II. An M104 straight-six, turbocharged to around 700 hp, on a chassis corner-weighted and aligned to carry it. A numbered edition of twenty-five cars, built in batches of five. One price. Never again.

How commissioning works

• The edition. Twenty-five Wahnsinn EVOs, numbered. When the twenty-fifth is delivered, the edition closes and we never build another.
• The batch. We build in deliberate batches of five. Buying parts and engineering time for five cars at once is what makes the price possible.
• One price. €140,000, excluding VAT and shipping. Everything that makes the car is in that number. No options ladder, no surprise line items.
• The commission. A commission is reserved by signing, not by queueing. We put a call in the diary, agree the specification together, and the agreement follows. The build starts on the first payment and does not wait for a batch of five to fill.

Why we build it this way

Icons are being embalmed: restored to a date, insured, and parked. Admired for what they once were, and never asked to move again. We think that is the wrong kind of respect. We build the opposite: an icon that gets driven, daily and hard, without fear of what it costs to use it.

What is in every car

• Mercedes-Benz M104 inline-six, fully rebuilt to new tolerances and turbocharged to around 700 hp, on a standalone MAXX ECU with a TE Motorsport harness and a dyno calibration.
• Six-speed manual gearbox, fully rebuilt, with a Quaife limited-slip differential and a rebuilt 3.06 final drive.
• KW V3 dampers, a Brembo big brake kit, a full geometry alignment and the car corner-balanced on the scales before it leaves.
• EVO II wide-body kit, bonded and painted in-house, with a complete new seal kit and new emblems.
• Recaro classic seats retrimmed to your specification, new steering wheel and gear lever, colour-matched belts and modern audio behind a period-correct face.
• Eighteen-inch wheels made to our own design, on performance tyres.

Wahnsinn One, the prototype

Commission 001 is the prototype that proved the recipe: a 190E EVO II tribute rewritten as a complete system with OM606 Super Turbodiesel power, a six-speed manual and an atelier finish. It has been delivered to the United States.
